Meinie Smith started his passion for photography when he was in middle school and he started making movies of his friends riding motocross with his camera phone. Slowly but surely, the camera phone got upgraded to his mothers old art school film camera. Then came the first step into professional photography—Nikon. Canon finally took over in the end. The models in his photographs changed from sweaty, dirty boys to beautiful, industry known models.
Even before he graduated Art School in Miami, Florida, Meinie had already worked with one of the industry’s most well known production companies. He specializes in portrait and editorial photography and recently branched out to cinematography after wining Best Cinematography in the University of Miami Scares and Scores Film Festival.
